Extra-Curricular Activities
We have a substantial provision of wrap-around care and out of classroom experiences. These experiences not only make the curriculum more engaging and memorable, but deepen children’s understanding of what they learn in class, develop new skills, and foster friendships.
We start with breakfast club and offer a wide range of after school clubs for all pupils, from Reception to Year 6.
Sunrise Club - breakfast club
- 7:45am-8:30am
Children are taken straight to class from the Sunrise Club.
After-School Clubs
- 3:30-4:30pm
Each term we issue communications to parents with details of the clubs we will be running for the term.
Activities generally include:
- Chess
- Table Tennis
- Arts & Crafts
- Choir - taught by our Headteacher Mrs Haynes!
- Recorder
- Football
- Gymnastics
- Cookery.
Parents book the clubs via the Scopay app, and must pay in advance for the term.
At the end of clubs, school staff will bring children to Gate A in order for parents to collect them. Please be on time, as children get distressed if parents are late.
Sunset Clubs
Pupils who attend after school clubs are also able to sign up for the Sunset Club which runs two sessions:
- First session - 4:30pm-5pm (Monday to Thursday)
- Second session - 5pm-5.30pm (Monday to Thursday). No Sunset club on Fridays.
These clubs are less formal than after-school clubs and children are given a snack. Children need to be collected promptly at 5pm or 5.30pm.
