School Day
Our staggered start and finish times for the school day helps parents who may have multiple school runs, and alleviates congestion for parking and access which supports our local residents.
School timings
- 07:45 – Breakfast club begins
- 8.40–8.50am – Gates opens (staggered entry). We ask parents to drop their children promptly and leave them with the class teacher at the gate (children in Year 3-6), or at the classroom door or gate (for Reception and Year 1-2 children).
- 8.50am – Gates close to ensure the safety of the children, and so that formal learning can start promptly. Anyone arriving after their child’s drop off time should be dropped via the main entrance.
- Break times – each year group will have a 15 minute break time during the morning (apart from Reception who offer continuous provision). If needed, Years 1-2 classes can have an afternoon break.
- Lunch time – year groups enjoy a time for dining and time for playing. These are staggered and may include playing before dining or vice versa.

- In the interest of safety and security of your children and of the site, collect your child from the relevant gate.
- 15:30–16.30 – After School Clubs
- 16:30–17:30 – Sunset Club. There is no Sunset Club on Fridays; on a Friday, after school provision ends at 5pm.
Help us to reduce traffic outside school gates
To help reduce the traffic around the school at drop off and pick up times along with improving the air quality to keep your child healthy, we encourage you to walk to school.
In the interest of safety, let your class teacher know the name of the nominated adult who will collect your child(ren) in your absence, either at the beginning of the day or by telephoning the school office and ensure they have the correct password.
